We Have a Big Dream and We Need Your Help!
Blue Nile Children's Organization is run by a small staff and volunteers, both in Seattle and in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Many of our projects can be benefited by additional volunteers or interns. If you are interested in working for BNCO or would like to comment or ask questions please contact us!

MEDICAL MISSIONS PROJECT

The Medical Missions Project organizes groups of healthcare providers from the U.S., Europe and Canada to travel to Addis Ababa. These trips support the overall mission of BNCO and the Medical Center and Health Education Project in three ways:

  • Augmenting the medical care that Ethiopian staff can provide at BNCO's Richard Oslund Memorial Clinic (ROMC)
  • Teaching Ethiopian providers new knowledge and skills to increase local capacity
  • Building solidarity and support between healthcare providers a world apart
  • Our first trip was in November 2009. The date of our next trip is yet to be determined, pending ROMC receiving its license from the Ethiopian Ministry of Health (MOH). You can read about current and past trips at our blog.

If you are interested in going on a Medical Mission trip, please contact Mr. Britt Nederhood at britt@scattercreek.com. You may also find the answers to many questions about participating by downloading the following documents or visiting the Participant Page.

You can also support our Medical Missions via in-kind and financial donations. For in-kind donations, please see our Medical Wishlist. To make a financial donation, please click on the "Please Donate" button at the top of this page.
